Oh la la! Sacre bleu! J'ai aussi la prétention d'être française. Je n'aime pas ce T-shirt! Is pretending to be French a very common thing? I can't really say I've seen much of it. Well, I guess it must be if Urban Outfitters is making t shirts to make fun of people who pretend to be French. Whatever. That's what I say to them! I went to France last year for the first time in about 10 years, and it was awesome. Though it's really hard to pretend to be French when you're there. It's quite obvious who's American there! And especially since I've clearly forgotten most of the French I learned in high school and college. Mais je crois que c'est toujours amusant d'essayer! Parles français si souvent que tu veux.
ahhh! I love this shirt! i took french in 9th and 10 grade. loved it in 9th but i can honestly say that in 10th grade my teacher sucked. I was sooo bummed because I actually was interested in something for a change. ( and that is truly the only time I could honestly say it was the teacher and not me. ) my mom still to this day laughs about my first weeks taking it in 9th grade. I walked around saying constantly....."Comment t'appelles-tu ?"..... "Je m'appelle Gigi"....yeah, that's the name they gave me for french class. sad to say those are about the only two things I remember. Ohhh, and "ah oui! Denise Gouillet! " that was just some random thing out of my textbook. I know, I know, you are totally impressed right now. ;)
*giggle* Thanks for the laugh this morning!
ReplyDeletehahah....urban sure knows how to put you in your place.
