people will often comment on choi boy's wardrobe and hint at the fact that i must spend a fortune on his clothes. the truth is, i don't. anything i buy is either from target (and usually on sale) or on clearance elsewhere. truly, most of cb's clothes were gifted to him, and on any given day, cb is wearing at least one article of clothing that was bought for him by his doting aunts, grandmas and great aunts. i guess that's what happens when you are the first grandchild in a family of women who love to shop!
take for example, cb's christmas outfit...every part of it was given to him either as a christmas present or from earlier in the year. wait, i did by the christmas socks he was wearing that day -- from the dollar spot, no less -- holla! but they were shed before they could make an appearance in these photos:
the outerwear:
reversible hooded lightweight puffer jacket: northface (gift from my mom)
boots: toddler uggs (gift from my aunt) -- note, *i* don't even have a pair of uggs! i am a proud owner of fuggs, thankyouverymuch.
straight fit jeans: baby gap (gift from my sister last christmas)
do i think it's ridiculous that a 2 year-old has a northface jacket *and* uggs? yup.
do i also think it's super sweet that his grandma and great aunt want to spoil him with clothes they think look adorable on him? totally.

and underneath:
striped shawl-neck sweater with toggle button: zara kids (gift from my sister this christmas -- she found it on my pinterest boards -- my sister rocks!)
navy t-shirt: h&m kids (gift from my mom last spring)
and lest these pictures make you think cb is a total divo (who looks to be about SEVEN years-old in these shots!!!), here's what he looked like most of the time i was trying to snap pictures. ;)
sillyhead!
linking up with morgan at mama loves papa again!

I love that shot with the basketball!!! He looks so handsome :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so great! Thank you for sharing. I already checked out Zara and got some stuff on sale. Love H&M for kids.
ReplyDeletehey grace! i'm sitting here cracking up and had to share....every time i am looking at a blog and noah peeks over my shoulder and sees another korean boy he asks, "that's noah?"....he of course just did it again as I am reading yours. :) too funny!
ReplyDeleteand btw....noah was gifted a pair of UGG slippers too when he first came home from my best friend. I don't have the real think either. :)
CB is a stylin' little dude!
ReplyDeleteI have to say, we get similar comments...and I sheepishly admit what you do. 90% of his clothes are gifts and my MIL is a Polo buying machine! He even has a polo winter coat right now, that she bought for $30 when he was 10mos old! All I do is put it together :)
What a super cute stylish kid. I adore that zara sweater. I am having a love affair with the yellow/grey colour combination at the moment.
ReplyDeleteChoi Boy is one very well dressed little lad. (Oh I DO love that jacket and the sweater). I have similar angst about my kid wearing really nice things, but whatever, I get SO much joy out of seeing her dressed well.
ReplyDeleteoh yes - styling! I love a good bargain too - the kids only wear the stuff for such a short time that I can't justify spending $50+ on toddler jeans!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little guy and yes, well dressed! We love gramma's, aunties and great aunties too! Love that toggle sweater!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFamily rocks! :) CB looks adorable as usual - LOVE that sweater! :) Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHe is one well-dressed kid, just like his mama!
ReplyDeleteAs a mom of two boys, I love this post! I love the NF jacket and Uggs. Way too cute. He is certainly a well-dressed boy.
ReplyDeleteCute post! I feel a weird about having a kid who ends up in pretty darn clothes more often than not, but they're mostly hand-me-downs and gifts so I guess I should just be glad! So I have been looking for that North Face jacket online (we saw a bunch on sale recently) and can't find the name of it anywhere. Do you know the name of the style and color?
