insta-whatnot-thursday.

i'm linking up with jeannett for insta-friday (on thursday), and since the pictures are totally random, i'm also linking up with elizabeth for a whatnot wednesday (on thursday) in pictures. i'm a rebel like that, yo. y'all don't mind if i double dip and mix up my days, do you? ;)

*choi boy makes the BEST, most expressive faces. especially when he's chowin' down.
Photobucket
the cowlick just kills me. :)
Photobucket
i think stonyfield farms may have found their newest model, don't you?

Photobucket
*dry shampoo is my new BFF. i can now go four full days without washing my hair, thanks to this lovely product. holla! the only weird thing is, it smells like froot loops. or maybe trix? one of those sugary, fruity cereals...i suppose it's better than it smelling like bran flakes.

Photobucket
*two-year old molars are sucky. really, really sucky. popsicles the yummiest kind of help.

Photobucket
*i have an irrational (uh-huh, i'm admitting it's irrational) fear of all kinds of bugs. i'd really like to get one of these babies. anyone have one? does it really work? right now, my version of this is get the bug on the floor, cover it under a heavy jar and wait for the hubs to come home and take care of it. the bug vacuum seems like an easier solution, no?

Photobucket
*we met up with my sister for lunch last saturday...mini magnadoodles are perfect for keeping cb entertained while we wait for food. such concentration!

Photobucket
*the turkey burger at good stuff eatery. it's, well...good stuff. :) too bad we didn't run into spike! top chef fans, anyone?

Photobucket
*i picked up these pretties at eastern market. i love them! except, they really remind me of kate gosselin.

Photobucket
*oh, wegman's you've done it again! this is their red, white and blue bread...cranberries, blueberries, granulated sugar on top...heaven. i might have eaten almost all of this entire loaf by myself. in two days.

Photobucket
*ridiculously hot and humid days keep us indoors...the mall playground, although likely super germy, is a good hangout. look at my little monkey climb!

Photobucket
*iced coffee is my other BFF. don't worry, she and dry shampoo also get along. they both know and recognize their roles in keeping me awake and non-greasy. and i am so grateful to them.

Photobucket
*this picture makes my heart smile. (and also makes me realize how badly my bangs need to be trimmed.) after every bath, i wrap cb up in his towel, carry him like a baby and we go to the mirror and sing the baby burrito song. and it makes cb giggle like crazy. i love it.

oh, you want to know how the song goes?

i'll gladly share!

baby burrito,
you are so neato!
you're my
baby burrito!

and with those grammy award worthy lyrics, i bid you adieu. :)

go forth and link up!

  1. so many things to say. 1. CB is SOOOOO CUUUUTE!!! I know you hear it all the time but sometimes there's just no creative, original way to say what you want to say. ;) 2. Dry shampoo??? I'm so intrigued. Especially since I got a perm and I'm finding that I don't need to shower in the morning for my hair to look o.k. Do you buy it in the drugstore or do you have to order it? 3. Iced coffee is totally my bff right now. I have the same cup as you do! Except the rubber ring inside the cap expanded and now it's not very leak-proof :( You can ask Sylv, I make the BEST iced coffee... I don't even get dunkin donuts or sbux anymore, because I think mine is better. Hehe. It's just the Coffee House coffee from the Keurig (made one setting stronger than the middle setting), 2 kcups into a full cup of ice, 2.5 splendas and 4 tablespoons of skinny caramel macchiato creamer. YUMMMM. In fact I think I will go make one right now...

  4. Um...4 days?!? That's pretty crazy stuff considering my hair screams for a wash after 22 hours. I'm addicted to iced coffee myself. I'm not satisfied with my "brew it stronger" method but I'm not crazy enough to do it like the pioneer woman. *$ (my BFF uses those symbols for sbux and she thinks everyone gets it but I didn't) has a blue colored package of coffee called ICED COFFEE. I was intrigued but the barista knew nothing of it. Fail. Lastly, I must learn the tune of ur burrito song bc I tried to sing it to the tune of baby beluga and it did not work. Lol.

  9. All is right in the world again...I was getting my days confused because there was no whatnot Wednesday on Wednesday. C.B. is adorbs as always, but really what I want is more dry shampoo deets. Is it colored? I use Bumble and Bumble dry shampoo in Brown and while it does its job (6 days no hair washing including many miles of running and biking...and now you are probably thinking, I'm glad I only know this stink head through the blog and not IRL...)it is really messy. Please provide more dry shampoo details so that I may continue my European hair washing schedule. Thanks!

  15. I love so much about this post. Great photos, especially the last one with you and cb. So sweet. I have never heard of that dry shampoo. Where would you buy that? And that bread? I could easily eat a loaf by myself in the same amount of time. I am such a sucker for sweet bread. Add an iced coffee with it-- heaven on earth.

  17. You had me at White, Red and Blue bread. That sounds a-maz-ing. Oh and the last picture left me with a smile, because we do the same thing with bath towels. And Daniel asks us to wrap him up like a burrito in our blankets. Too cute. As well, I have fallen in love with iced coffee this year. I even make my own. Have you tried Pioneer Woman's recipe? I haven't yet.
