we recently discovered an AWESOME sprayground that is run by our county's park authority. it is designed as an all-access sprayground, meaning children of all abilities are able to play. they even have waterproof wheelchairs available for children to use while they are there. SO cool! and the best part? it's FREE!!!
we went to check out the sprayground with our buddies ben and gabe (we missed you, liam!) and had a smashing time -- or shall i say, a 'splashing' time?! wokka wokka!
ben and gabe were a bit hesitant to get wet, but choi boy, that crazy daredevil, jumped right in!
he really did like it. really!
in addition to fountains and sprays of all sizes, the sprayground also has a couple of water tables powered by running water -- perfect for toddlers!
of course, *my* toddler decided that climbing in and under the water table was more fun.
sheesh!
i put my camera away to keep it safe from splashing water since it was apparent i would be chasing choi boy all over the sprayground. and naturally, as soon as the camera was safely tucked away in my bag, ben and gabe were eager to get wet. natch. ;)
after lots of splash time and a picnic lunch, we checked out the treehouse -- a big wooden play structure built into the trees behind the sprayground. the boys had so much fun chasing each other in, out, and around the treehouse.
they got a little silly,
checked out what the big boys were up to,
and then tried to steal a big boy's scooter.
okay, the truth is, choi boy tried to steal the scooter while ben nervously looked on,
and gabe tried to talk him out of it.
in the end, choi boy decided it was, indeed, in poor taste to steal someone else's scooter. so instead, he led the boys away...
into further mischief. ;)
i love seeing these boys play together...they have such fun and the time i get with the boys' mommas is an awesome perk, too.
but, we're going to have to get in all our play time soon, because after seeing cb lead this pack into lots of shenanigans, sandra said he and ben are not allowed to hang out when they're teenagers.
we'll work on reeling in the mischief-making, sandra, i promise!
:)
