okay, i'm just going to put it out there: i am stankin' tired. working full-time, being a momma, and life in general are kinda kickin' my butt right now. just kinda. don't get me wrong, i am still madly in love with all the different parts of my life, i'm just learning to balance and manage everything! just a small task, you know. ;)
mostly, it's just funny and there are days when my life plays out like a comedy of errors. like the morning i made coffee and was baffled when i ended up with a pot of just water. and that was because i used the pot to measure the water and then forgot to pour it in the coffee machine. duh. and then the next day, i ended up with just a pot of water again, but that time it was because i never put any coffee in the coffee filter. double duh. and obviously, i really needed coffee. ;)
my blogging has slacked a bit, and honestly, i miss it. and my commenting on my buddies' blogs has pretty much become non-existent, and honestly, that makes me sad. i can't promise i'll catch up, but i'm going to try, try, try! on both ends.
and alllll of that was a way lame introduction to this post. sorry!
so, yes. on to the point of this post!
we've really been making the most out of our weekends and finding lots of fun stuff to do. a few weeks ago, our airport held its annual plane pull -- a fundraiser to benefit the special olympics. in addition to the actual plane pull (yup, teams actually pull planes. like big planes.), there were tons of planes and cars on display and choi boy and his buddy, ben, had lots of fun checking them out!
before getting up close and personal with the aircrafts, though, cb had to practice zooming around like one.
:)
we spied a cool helicopter just hanging out...
and also let appa check out some cars he'll never get to do more with than just look at. ;)
cb even hopped around in a mini moon bounce!
but, sure enough, the best part of the morning was hanging out in the airplanes.
especially ones that are small enough for little hands to pretend to fly!
cb and ben were just beside themselves with glee!
they were so excited, they even managed look in my direction with happy expressions on their faces! a rare feat, for sure.
seriously! check out those grins!
but, as awesome as the little plane was, it wasn't the coolest vehicle around. because this bad boy was also present:
yes, that would be my dad's business car. i know you're all out-of-control jealous. ;)
and the chick-fil-a cow was also hanging out.
which cb was clearly way excited about. ;)
after giving some tech consultations,
"um, hahbee, *this* is how you work this app."
and some much needed rehydration,
cb was ready to take off again and move on to his next adventure! which i'll hopefully blog about before the end of the year. ;)
oh, and p.s. in case you're wondering, yes, i totally made cb wear his aviators shirt again on purpose. maverick and goose would be proud.

How cool! I had no idea D-airport did that - what fun! :) The pictures of CB and Ben I could just look at for hours and get lost in the cuteness (and the missing seeing you guys-ness!). Hugs! Fall always seems insane to me b/c we're learning to balance new schedules. It never seems the be the same 2 falls in a row - go figure! ;) Hope things calm down a bit soon so you can relax and enjoy a bit more. Good luck with the coffee - I did the no coffee in the filter and ended up with hot water thing the other day too. :)
ReplyDeleteYAY! A POST! I love this :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for blogging about this, because I probably never will.
ReplyDeleteFinding balance in life is so hard! And once you think you figured it out, everything changes.
I was just going to comment how how amazing this event is when I saw that last pic and thought, "How cute is that outfit?!" CB is a well-dressed boy! But seriously, this airport event would have my boys drooling. I wish we had something like it in our area!
ReplyDeleteI'm super jealous of your dad's business car! Seriously!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a cool, cool event! I love how happy CB and B look. They were LOVING it, huh?!
And dude, I struggle with balance in my part-time little world... I don't even know how you do it! Although for the coffee problem, I seriously recommend PW iced coffee... No brewing necessary in the morning!
What fun! I love how there was so much for the kiddos to do and lots of room for them to run around. Great outing! I love your Dad's car! And cb looks so handsome. What a cutie!
ReplyDeleteum. i'm a total chik fil a junky. i'm seriously jealous of your dad's car! i'm pretty sure cohen is too, since he takes after his mama in his love for chik fil a!
ReplyDeletelooks like a super fun day! airplanes are awesome and it's so fun for boys to get up close and personal with them. clearly cb had a wonderful time.
and i totally hear you on finding time to blog and comment. it makes me sad too and some days i just hit "all is read" because i can't deal with the pressure. i may move onto just reading and not commenting for awhile. . . but i hate even thinking about that. ugh.
