EEEEEEEP!!!

After over a year of waiting and having no movement within our adoption process for our Choi Girl, about a month ago, we received the news that our girl’s paperwork was submitted for her Emigration Permit, or EP — hence the EEEEEEP!

So, here’s what this means…EP approval is one the final steps needed before we can travel to Korea to meet our daughter. Being submitted for our EP means that our case is (finally!) moving forward and we are inching towards the finish. After EP approval, our paperwork is submitted to the Korean Family Court and after review, we are given a court date, which will be the date which our first trip to Korea will be planned around. After our first trip, we will wait for our final approval and our visa interview date (which sets the date of our second trip) and we’ll finally be able to bring our girl home!
